A Master’s Degree or Doctorate from an accredited college or university in Social Work; Guidance and Counseling; Psychology; or related health field, plus any combination or graduate studies in the above areas and experience in Behavioral Health adding up to two (2) years of experience working with SED children and families.

Current New Mexico licensure is in good standing as one or more of the following: LPCC, LCSW, LMFT, PhD, PsyD, LMSW, LMHC, LPAT.

Thorough knowledge of, and ability to access and coordinate with, community resources.

Demonstrated ability to consistently establish positive, professional relationships and to communicate and work cooperatively with clients, families, colleagues, and community partners.

Proficiency with computers and electronic systems sufficient to maintain compliance with BHSD standards, including use of electronic health records (EHRs), computerized client assessments, and data/reporting systems.

Valid New Mexico driver’s license, reliable transportation, and an acceptable driving record; must maintain required auto insurance coverage in accordance with agency policy.

Ability to obtain and maintain Criminal Records Clearance (local, state, and FBI) in accordance with agency and funder requirements. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of required background checks.

Current certification in First Aid and CPR, or ability to obtain within the timeframe specified by agency policy after hire, and maintain thereafter.

Current certification in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) or equivalent, or ability to obtain within the timeframe specified by agency policy after hire, and maintain thereafter.

Bilingual/bicultural (English/Spanish)
Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit, stand, walk, and travel within the community for extended periods.

May require lifting or moving light objects or assisting clients physically on occasion.
