About the role

The Hydrocarbon Recovery Facility A Operator responsibilities listed below are intended to describe the general purpose and responsibilities assigned to this job and are not an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, and skills that may be required. 

Position Responsibilities:

• Preferably understand the inner workings of a centrifuge machine and be able to maintain it
• Start-up, Shutdown, and operate the CSU Process.
• Perform analyses on process samples to ensure product meets quality.
• Trouble shoot equipment and process problems.
• When required performs all the duties including operating plant equipment, machinery, processes, performing permit sampling, laboratory tests, monitoring meters, gauges, keeping a log of plant operations, and related records.
• Installs, repairs, and maintains or rebuilds equipment and machinery relative to the physical plant and its processes including, pumps, motors, variable frequency drives.
•  Must understand the inner workings of the twin spin and be able to maintain it.
• Set-up, Start-up, Shutdown, and operate the twin spin. 
• Operate the vacuum truck pump.
• Shift roll-off boxes as needed in the plant.
• Follows all safety and compliance rules and regulations
• Wear and properly use safety equipment and/or PPE when required.
• Other duties as assigned  
• Understand how to use the Stui system.

Position Requirements & Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred
• Must have the ability to work a rotating shift schedule
• 1-2 year experienced in plant operations preferred
• 1-2 year experience in operating a centrifuge, preferably a horizontal decanter type preferred
• Must understand the inner workings of a centrifuge machine and be capable of maintenance requirements.
• Ability to demonstrate how your actions support Reworld Values and Behaviors, including Safe and Inclusive Workplace, Delivering Results through Trust and Building Breakthrough Capabilities.
• Must be able to trouble shoot any issues on the centrifuge and be able to monitor the flow volumes and maximize separation of grease and optimize the percent solids.
• Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and manufactures to troubleshoot machine problems.
• Demonstrate adequate math skills for calculating machine throughputs, volume calculations, analyze, organize data, prepare records, and reports.
• ·Applicants should be proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel programs for use in generating operational matrix
• Adequate knowledge of equipment, machinery, and processes utilized in plant operations
• Adequate knowledge of the tools, equipment and terminology used in the installation, rebuilding, maintenance, repair of Centrifuge, and auxiliary equipment.
• Unload/Load tanker trailers.
• Read and interpret P&ID’s.
• Ability to install, rebuild and make skilled repairs to equipment and machinery relative to Centrifuge.
• Skill in the operation repair of pumps, valves, and related mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Skill in the operation and programming of PLC instruments and panels.
• Lab treatment testing for qualification of products.  
• Mechanical aptitude.
• The ability to be cross trained to perform other jobs as needed
• Ability to communicate with others for safety and efficiency requirements
• Bilingual a plus (Spanish/English)
• Able to work “shift” work as required.
