As a Mobile & Frontend Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining both cross-platform mobile applications and web applications. You’ll collaborate closely with backend engineers, the product team, and designers to create intuitive, performant, and scalable apps. This role requires experience in one of the following: Flutter, React Native, Kotlin, or web technologies (such as React or Angular).

Location: New York City (Hybrid with the expectation of being in office 2-3 days a week)

Compensation: $90-$150K based on previous experience and technical capabilities in addition to generous equity. Everyone at dub is a shareholder of the company.

💼 The Role

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain features for mobile and web applications.
• Collaborate with backend engineers and designers to ensure seamless user experiences.
• Optimize mobile and web applications for performance and scalability.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
• Participate in code reviews and the software development lifecycle (planning, coding, testing, deployment).
• Take ownership of projects as an early employee, working directly with stakeholders to drive features from concept to completion

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a developer, with experience in one of the following: Flutter, React Native, Kotlin, or web technologies like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Strong understanding of mobile and web app development best practices.
• Experience with mobile app deployment on iOS and Android, and web app deployment using modern web frameworks.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect mobile and web applications to backend services.
• Knowledge of state management approaches for mobile (e.g., Provider, Bloc, Redux, MobX) and web (e.g., Redux, MobX, Context API).
• Experience with version control systems like Git.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.

Bonus Areas

• Experience with Flutter and Dart.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for mobile and web applications.
• Familiarity with multiple mobile frameworks and web frameworks is a plus.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Familiarity with AWS or other cloud services.
• Experience working in the brokerage or financial services industry.
