- A Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design or a related field is preferred.
- A portfolio of work is required.
- Three to five years of experience in web graphic design is required.
- Six or more years of work experience is required.
- Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, and other software necessary as new media progresses is required.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills are required, including the ability to create sophisticated design solutions to complex problems.
- Knowledge of Perl, HTML, JavaServer Pages, JavaScript, and PHP is required.
- Experience with Sencha 5, jQuery, or Yii is required.
- Knowledge of JSON and XML data formats is required.
- Experience with web services using SOAP and REST is required.
- Knowledge of BEA WebLogic, Apache, J2EE, JBoss, and Tomcat is required.
- Experience with Eclipse and Visual Studio integrated development environments is required.
- Knowledge of MySQL, Oracle, and SQL Server databases is required.
- Knowledge of UNIX systems including Solaris and HP-UX, Linux distributions including Red Hat, Ubuntu, and SUSE, Windows Server 2003 and 2008, and Windows 7 and 8 is required.
- Assist the lead developer and other developers in composing the load-testing plan and directly write scripts to implement the plan.
- Assist the project management office and testers in creating test plans and test scenarios covering new code and changes to existing code.
- Provide input to the technical lead and architect on development solutions.
- Monitor and support high-volume batch-file and web-service integrations.
- Design websites and web-based applications.
- Conceptualize and create wireframes, graphical templates, and other graphical elements for web-based projects.
- Ensure site-design integrity and consistent quality control throughout a project's lifecycle.
- Communicate with the project team throughout all stages of design.
- Develop end-to-end web applications using JavaScript with jQuery and/or Sencha 5 Ext JS, Perl/PHP, and possibly Java 7 web services, including database-table development, front-end development, data integration, and support hand-off documentation.
- Manage time effectively and work on multiple project timelines simultaneously in a demanding, deadline-driven environment.
