Requirements
  • Associates degree required; starting with graduating class in 2017
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologist certification (ARRT) in Radiologic Technology is required
  • Basic Life Support certification from American Heart Association or Red Cross is required
  • MR imaging certification through ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT is preferred; if MR registry not yet obtained, must take and pass MR registry within 12 months of hire
  • Experience: less than 1 year of applicable experience
  • Certified to perform magnetic resonance imaging procedures and safety screening in accordance with Saint Luke's Health System MRI Safety practices
Responsibilities
  • Perform magnetic resonance imaging exams with or without contrast
  • Perform magnetic resonance imaging guided biopsies (location dependent)
  • Conduct thorough screening and device research prior to scanning all patients in adherence with MRI Safety practices
  • Provide patient-centered care and work effectively in team or autonomously
  • Maintain organizational skills, adaptability, and strong communication while performing MRI procedures
Desired Qualifications
  • ARMRIT or ARRT (MR) certification is preferred but not required; if MR registry not yet obtained within 12 months, must obtain MR registry after hire
  • Ability to participate in additional modalities as assigned; willingness to support other modalities as needed
