Magna has four regional hubs across EMEA, LATAM, APAC and North America. The regional hub in London consists of seven people who work closely with the local investment teams, to deliver a truly differentiated approach to investment and innovation across the EMEA region.
Position Summary
As Intelligence Manager you will focus on expanding and utilising Magna’s media owner and marketplace intelligence for the benefit of our clients and all parts of Mediabrands across EMEA. Your role will also involve insight creation as well as working on the Mediabrands Responsibility Index with the Director of Media Standards & Investment Product in the following key areas of responsibility:
You will be part of the Magna EMEA team and will report into the International Trading Director EMEA based in London.
Key Responsibilities
Marketplace Intelligence
Magna is the thought leadership arm of IPG Mediabrands and the Intelligence produced from our New York team is accessed and utilized by major global businesses such as Wall Street. As the Magna EMEA team continues to build out our Intelligence footprint, you will:
- Work with clients, local Magna leaders and other business unit leads to identify key topics of interest that will fuel the Magna Intelligence strategy for the EMEA region.
- Be responsible for sharing insights and summaries, case study creation, and leading our rapid POV strategy for industry news and developments.
- Work with the International Trading Director to identify, curate and optimise content for Magna EMEA’s thought leadership portal; MAGNAfied
- Create and deliver bespoke projects to deliver unique media intelligence and insights to clients and our key media partners.
- Work closely with the global head of Magna Intelligence and the International Trading Director to oversee any EMEA specific report requirements that will be included in global reports.
- Regularly liaise with the relevant local insight leads across the region to ensure that the Magna EMEA team are abreast of any local Intelligence developments.
- Partner with the trading operations teams to ensure that any commercialisation of Magna Intelligence is packaged correctly.
Insight Creation
Magna operates a successful programme of lab-based research out of the US called Media Trials. Many of these trials will span multiple markets across EMEA.
- You will represent EMEA’s participation in any relevant Media Trials. This will include inputting on the clients/partners who will be involved in the Media Trials, right through to the reporting and optimisation once the lab-based research has been completed.
Media Responsibility Index (MRI)
The media responsibility index is a proprietary product that has been created by IPG Mediabrands to help create a more ethical media ecosystem for our clients. We work closely with our media/tech partners to identify and improve their offerings in key areas such as Sustainability, DE&I and Children’s Wellbeing.
- You will work with EMEA, Global and local MRI leadership on developing and implementing the MRI on an annual basis.
- You will guide media partners through the MRI process and resolving any challenges they have with the process.
- You will analyse survey results and creating reports that are reflective of the data submitted.
- Where applicable, you will feed back on partner submissions post the final reports.
Desired Skills & Experience
- You have previous Media experience, and preferably with a research background.
- You have a strong sense of curiosity.
- You have proven ability and experience of developing and maintaining strong professional relationships with clients, colleagues and media partners.
- You are independent, self-motivated, hardworking, analytically sophisticated with strong attention to detail
- You have excellent communication and articulation skills with the ability to manage upwards to guide senior members within the organisation.
- You have good organisational and report writing skills.
