Requirements
  • At least three years of experience operating a Brokk concrete demolition machine is required.
  • A minimum of five years of related experience and/or training is required.
  • The employee must be certified or approved by the Safety Department or designated competent person.
  • The employee must pass a practical test.
  • The employee must safely climb in and out of equipment and operate hand controls, foot controls, and pedals throughout the workday.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
  • The employee must meet the specified close, distance, peripheral, and depth-vision requirements and be able to adjust focus.
  • The employee must work safely around moving mechanical parts, weather conditions, fumes or airborne particles, vibration, toxic or caustic chemicals, electrical hazards, loud noise, equipment, and other workers.
Responsibilities
  • Perform concrete demolition.
  • Check all equipment fluids before starting the engine.
  • Receive written or oral instructions from the supervisor.
  • Perform routine maintenance, including lubricating, fueling, and cleaning equipment.
  • Observe and understand ground markings, hand signals, and grade stakes.
  • Operate equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
  • When operator work is unavailable, assist crews by performing other requested duties.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience operating an excavator with a hammer, mini excavator, skid steers, and loaders.
