Requirements
  • The candidate must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing or have an education equivalency for licensing.
  • The candidate must have two years of registered nurse experience with demonstrated progressive leadership responsibility.
  • The candidate must hold Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider certification from the American Heart Association.
  • For work in Illinois, the candidate must hold a Registered Professional Nurse license issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.
  • For work in Missouri, the candidate must hold a Missouri Registered Nurse license or a Registered Nurse license issued by a compact state.
  • For work in Oklahoma, the candidate must hold a Registered Nurse license issued by a compact state or the Oklahoma Board of Nursing.

Responsibilities
  • The role coordinates daily operations with the leadership team to implement clinical objectives and ensure quality patient care for assigned ministries.
  • The role assigns, directs, educates, and monitors nursing and support staff during the assigned shift and contributes to staff performance evaluations.
  • The role serves as a resource to staff.
  • The role manages patient flow within the assigned area.
  • The role provides support and coordination for patient emergencies.
  • The role opens and leads incident command for internal or external disasters until relieved by the assigned administrative representative.
  • The role evaluates the effectiveness of patient care and identifies issues affecting desired patient outcomes.
  • The role responds to patient-care complaints and manages them through established channels.
  • The role may provide input for hiring, training, directing, developing, and evaluating staff.
  • The role maintains constant alertness and works safely.
  • The role performs other duties as assigned.
