Requirements
  • An active state Property and Casualty Insurance Sales license is required.
  • An active state Life and Health Insurance Sales license is required, or it must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
  • The candidate must qualify for, obtain, and maintain all applicable state licenses and appointments required for selling or servicing Auto Club Group membership products.
  • The candidate must obtain Health and Accident licenses and appointments where applicable, within the timeframe established by the business unit.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • At least one year of customer-facing experience in a fast-paced, computer-automated business environment, such as financial or banking services, is required.
  • The candidate must be able to develop, manage, and close sales opportunities through lead tracking, follow-up, pipeline management, and accountability for performance goals.
  • The candidate must apply consultative selling techniques, product knowledge, customer discovery, listening skills, coverage-gap identification, and tailored recommendations.
  • The candidate must generate new opportunities through referrals, outbound activity, networking, and other business-development efforts.
  • The candidate must have verbal and written communication skills and confidence guiding sales conversations.
  • The candidate must be proficient with customer relationship management platforms and Microsoft Office applications.
  • The candidate must be able to work varied hours, including possible weekends, and travel to local events when required.
Responsibilities
  • Sell and provide ongoing service for ACG-branded and brokered insurance products, memberships, and financial products within an ACG branch.
  • Uncover customer needs, generate new business, retain existing clients, grow the insurance portfolio, overcome objections, negotiate, close sales, and meet or exceed individual sales targets and incentive-plan expectations.
  • Conduct comprehensive insurance reviews to assess risk, identify coverage gaps, recommend appropriate solutions, and quote, bind, and issue policies according to underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Build and maintain rapport with members and clients, respond to inquiries professionally and urgently, and support customer satisfaction, loyalty, and trust in the AAA brand.
  • Engage in local branch and community events to prospect, expand referral networks, develop new business opportunities, and identify cross-sell and referral opportunities into Travel and Financial Services.
  • Perform consistent outreach, proactive engagement with prospective clients, follow-up, community networking, and client trust-building.
Desired Qualifications
  • Insurance experience is helpful but not required.
