Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Sport Administration or a related field and two (2) years of related work experience coaching the sport at a collegiate or international level. Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. Working knowledge of Hudl, ScoreBreak, and JustPlay.
Position Description:
The Assistant Lacrosse Coach is responsible for assisting the Head Lacrosse Coach in the overall coordination and execution of the University of Louisville’s Division I intercollegiate Lacrosse program, including identifying and recruiting qualified student-athletes, practice and game preparation, coaching, and promoting an atmosphere of compliance within the program. This position reports to the Head Lacrosse Coach.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Coaching: Motivate, instruct, and develop skills of student-athletes, assist in preparing practice plans, implement practice plan, expertise knowledge in draw position and/or offensive systems.
Organize, prepare, and conduct individual and team practice sessions to train and prepare for competition and instruct student-athletes in techniques of the sport.
Prepare scouting reports and offensive game plans on all opponents.
Identify, evaluate, and recruit academically and athletically qualified prospective student-athletes in the USA and Internationally.
Promote an atmosphere of compliance within the program through strict adherence to NCAA, ACC, and University rules and regulations through monitoring of program activities, active involvement, and commitment to continuous rules education, timely submission of compliance-related documents, and immediate reporting of any knowledge of potential rules violations involving self or others.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Previous experience playing the sport at a Division I collegiate and/or international level.
Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
