Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Bachelor's Degree in related field and municipal experience (City/County Management, etc.) or equivalent experience
  • Professional Engineer, or ability to obtain registration within six months
  • 10+ years of engineering/industry experience with demonstrated team management experience
  • Proven experience in winning and managing municipal water, wastewater, stormwater, asset management, and planning projects in the North Carolina market
  • Public sector business development experience at local and regional levels
  • Existing relationships within the North Carolina municipal market
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with Federal and State level funding agencies and programs
  • Ability to work flexible hours and attend events outside of normal working hours
  • Alternative delivery experience
Responsibilities
  • Maintaining and growing high-value relationships with existing municipal clients
  • Working effectively with project teams, key internal and external stakeholders, and support staff to ensure successful and client focused project delivery
  • Creating and realizing client specific engagement plans, journey mapping, etc.
  • Managing client specific account plans, sales and revenue projections, and feedback initiatives
  • Developing and managing proposal efforts, business development strategies, and presentations
  • Leading contract negotiations including scope, fee, terms and conditions, etc.
  • Coordinating with WithersRavenel's Growth and Delivery teams to expand market share across targeted Clients and regions
  • Leading select projects within his/her technical area(s) of expertise
  • Monitoring project health, adherence to QA/QC procedures, etc. and mentoring junior staff
  • Remaining actively engaged in community, professional societies, etc.
