Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree with a strong academic record
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software packages (Intacct preferred)
  • Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Strong ability to analyze data and desire to improve processes
  • Ability to communicate effectively across departments and with firm management in a fast-paced environment
  • A proactive, self-directed approach with the ability to multi-task, think creatively, and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • A detail-oriented individual who has exceptional organizational and communication skills, ability to document processes and communicate with all levels of management and external vendors
  • Impeccable ethics, integrity, and ability to work with confidential information are required
Responsibilities
  • Assist in recording of invoices into our general ledger
  • Ensure that expenses are allocated correctly to trading strategies to help facilitate accurate profit and loss reporting of our indirect expenses
  • Assist in annual audits and provide information as requested by our auditors in a timely fashion
  • Preparation of annual 1099s for tax purposes
  • Support management in completing special projects, ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests, and other duties as assigned
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior Broker-Dealer or similar industry experience
  • Experience supporting international businesses
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (i.e., pivot tables, SUMIF and related functions, etc.) or SQL familiarity
