Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree with a strong academic record
- Hands-on experience with accounting software packages (Intacct preferred)
- Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Strong ability to analyze data and desire to improve processes
- Ability to communicate effectively across departments and with firm management in a fast-paced environment
- A proactive, self-directed approach with the ability to multi-task, think creatively, and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
- A detail-oriented individual who has exceptional organizational and communication skills, ability to document processes and communicate with all levels of management and external vendors
- Impeccable ethics, integrity, and ability to work with confidential information are required
Responsibilities
- Assist in recording of invoices into our general ledger
- Ensure that expenses are allocated correctly to trading strategies to help facilitate accurate profit and loss reporting of our indirect expenses
- Assist in annual audits and provide information as requested by our auditors in a timely fashion
- Preparation of annual 1099s for tax purposes
- Support management in completing special projects, ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests, and other duties as assigned
Desired Qualifications
- Prior Broker-Dealer or similar industry experience
- Experience supporting international businesses
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (i.e., pivot tables, SUMIF and related functions, etc.) or SQL familiarity
