Responsibilities
  • Act as a trusted partner and advisor to the supported business area and client group by providing detailed analysis, commentary, advice, challenge, and decision support to drive business performance.
  • Support customer or supplier meetings and negotiations by providing insights, analysis, challenge, and recommendations.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the supported business area or client group, its results, and the key levers influencing profit and loss performance.
  • Understand historic, current, and forecast performance and provide monthly financial analysis, insight, and explanations, highlighting emerging issues or trends and recommending corrective actions.
  • Interpret, explain, and drive performance within the business.
  • Support and influence operational and strategic decisions by providing insight and challenge.
  • Translate operational targets into executable in-year plans.
  • Partner with the client group to drive actions that meet targets for pricing, promotional return on investment, sales, margin, variable costs, overheads, earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization, working capital, and return on investment.
  • Advise on business planning assumptions, trade-offs, and opportunities.
  • Review actual performance, including pricing, promotional return on investment, sales, margin, variable costs, overheads, earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization, working capital, and return on investment, and recommend interventions to reduce costs, improve margins, and convert profit and loss into cash.
  • Own and drive initiatives focused on closing variances with the business.
  • Ensure the business understands and delivers against key performance indicators.

  • Identify financial implications for projects and business initiatives, contribute to business cases, and support profitable resource allocation through financial insights and constructive challenge.
  • Use analyses from financial planning and analysis to drive business choices by applying commercial acumen and insight.
  • Provide insight into the competitor landscape to business and financial planning and analysis teams.
  • Work with the management team to define planning assumptions, risks, and investment opportunities and feed them into a high-quality and credible integrated business plan.
  • Support and challenge data quality, working with other functions to improve accuracy and timeliness.
  • Attend meetings with customers, key suppliers, and external partners and work with other functions to formulate action plans addressing performance gaps.
  • Promote business and financial controls and work with the management team to instill accountability and a control-focused culture.
  • Provide expert opinion on key accounting judgments to help ensure the integrity of financial statements and leverage the network of financial controllers, business controllers, and project accountants as required.
  • Review corporate social responsibility and other management reports produced by the shared services center and provide additional insights into performance and management risks.

Nomad Foods Q2 revenue falls 3% to $818M as pricing lifts gross margin 110bps

Nomad Foods reported second quarter 2026 results showing reported revenue decreased 3.1% to €724 million, with organic revenue declining 2.9%. Volume fell 5.9%, partially offset by a 3.0% positive price-mix contribution. The frozen food company's adjusted gross margin improved 110 basis points to 28.9%, driven by pricing and supply chain productivity. Adjusted EBITDA decreased 4.3% to €124 million, whilst adjusted earnings per share fell 2.5% to €0.39. Chief executive Dominic Brisby said the quarter marked "an important step forward" as the company secured price increases, expanded gross margins, and restored momentum with key retail partners. He expressed confidence in the firm's ability to drive improved performance. Adjusted operating expenses rose 7.8% to €111 million due to rebuilding the company's employee performance incentive scheme.

NetClass Technology issued 100,000 Class B ordinary shares to Dragonsoft Holding Limited on 5 August 2026 at $2.69 per share, totalling $269,000. Dragonsoft is wholly owned by Dr Jianbiao Dai, NetClass's CEO, chairman, and director. Following the issuance, Dragonsoft holds all outstanding Class B shares, representing 77.93% of total voting power across both share classes. This creates significant concentration of control, with the CEO holding dominant power over major corporate decisions through his investment vehicle. The transaction was conducted under Section 4(a)(2) exemption from securities registration. The per-share price matched the closing price of Class A shares on 31 July 2026.

Nomad Foods launches $904M senior secured notes offering to refinance 2028 debt

Nomad Foods Limited announced that its indirect subsidiary, Nomad Foods Bondco Plc, intends to offer €800 million in senior secured notes due 2033, subject to market conditions. The company plans to use the proceeds to refinance its existing €800 million senior secured notes due 2028.
