Responsibilities
  • Are interested and have prior experience working on or closely with identity and auth systems
  • Are passionate about architecting systems for scale
  • Are good at service-oriented architecture design and best practices
  • Have experience working on platform and product teams
  • Have strong opinions about software development best practices
  • Are comfortable working through ambiguity
  • Have experience creating an inclusive and collaborative culture on your teams
  • Are known for your communication skills and working well with across teams and with non-technical stakeholders
  • Have 5+ years of backend programming experience, of which some is in Java
  • Have 2+ years of prior engineering management experience
  • Work with the product manager, designer, and engineers to deliver scalable and reliable identity and auth solutions for users of all Squarespace Products
  • Build relationships across the organization to facilitate adoption of solutions
  • Ensure security best practices are maintained
  • Grow engineers through coaching, mentoring and feedback
  • Build a healthy and inclusive culture within your team which encourages everyone to contribute
