Requirements
  • Knowledge of advanced layout, use of Symon forms, layout of anchor bolts, material takeoff from drawings, and safety requirements for building work.
  • Ability to learn and understand work-related safety hazards and safely and effectively operate related tools and equipment.
  • Ability to work in plant operations or construction job-site settings.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and sketches and complete reports.
  • Ability to build and set forms, use a level instrument, tie rebar, build scaffolding, perform finish carpentry, read a tape or ruler, set screeds, install batter boards, and operate hand and power tools.
  • Ability to move throughout active construction and project-site environments, including uneven terrain, mud, gravel, sand, and other varying surface conditions.
  • Ability to access materials, equipment, structures, and work areas at ground level, overhead, and in restricted-access locations.
  • Ability to ascend and descend stairs, ladders, scaffolding, and other elevated work surfaces while maintaining safety requirements.
  • Ability to frequently handle and operate hand tools, power tools, equipment, instruments, and materials associated with assigned duties.
  • Ability to move, transport, position, push, pull, lift, or carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in outdoor conditions involving heat, cold, rain, humidity, wind, noise, dust, and other site-related conditions.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces, restricted-access areas, or elevated locations when required by project needs and applicable safety requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Act as a working leader and assist the Foreman in managing the crew.
  • Lead a small group of workers within the crew or handle specific tasks assigned by the Foreman.
  • Perform hands-on work alongside the crew while providing guidance.
  • Inspect work quality to ensure standards and specifications are met.
  • Assist workers with their duties and resolve problems.
  • Interpret and enforce company policies and safety regulations.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and sketches and complete reports.
