Requirements
  • 8-10 years of demonstrable success selling (hunting and closing) cyber security, networking, identity management, email security, cloud or SaaS solutions, with a minimum of 5+ years dedicated to selling to Public Sector
  • Experience building territory plans, prospecting and executing sales plays to land new Public Sector customers in a competitive market
  • Subject matter expert in areas such as enterprise network security, IT security (including email security) and Zero Trust network access (while not a technical solution engineering role, a background in and/or understanding of the technology underlying SASE is important)
  • Knowledge of key market players/competitors in the software defined networking, Zero Trust and cybersecurity solution spaces, all related to the Public Sector
  • Knowledge of and experience working with the channel partners (Distributors, Public Sector Resellers, FSIs and Consultants) who have a focus/practice in Public Sector
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and develop/execute corresponding objectives
  • Strong verbal and written communications, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations
  • Excellent presentation and public speaking skills
  • College Degree or equivalent
  • 40%- 50% travel when it is safe
Responsibilities
  • Present to customers as an expert of our Zero Trust/SASE platform with a focus on network security, zero trust network access, network security, SDP solutions and email security
  • Present a compelling business case at all levels in the Public Sector customer hierarchy, from administrators to security professionals and IT operators to address transformational events such as cloud migration, remote worker shift, mission continuity and the adoption of Zero Trust security architectures
  • Develop a sales plan that is aligned with Cloudflare's Public Sector go-to-market strategy and pipeline focusing on Cloudflare's Zero Trust/SASE platform - Cloudflare One
  • Identify repeatable customer use cases for Cloudflare's Zero Trust/SASE platform that drive value with Federal, State, Local and Education prospects
  • Foster growth and track the Cloudflare One sales pipeline by engaging with internal account teams, existing customers, net new prospects and key channel partners
  • Develop productive co-selling relationships with Cloudflare's Public Sector channel partners to leverage their value-add to strengthen our sales engine
  • Prepare and give regular business reviews to the management team highlighting attainment progress, new opportunities, best practices and challenges to closing Public Sector business
