Requirements
  • Three to five years of experience in construction and site work.
  • Working knowledge of construction or design engineering.
  • A bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or one to two years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to work with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Outlook, and learn additional programs as needed.
Responsibilities
  • Assist the project manager in creating scopes of work.
  • Create bid packages as necessary.
  • Notify contractors of pending bid packages, generate interest, and send invitations.
  • Call contractors to confirm receipt and ensure proper bid coverage.
  • Respond to contractor requests for information and provide prompt responses.
  • Work with the project manager to level bids.
  • Review requests for information received from contractors and subcontractors.
  • Submit requests for information to the design team for timely resolution.
  • Create submittal logs using Procore and other project management software.
  • Coordinate with the project manager to assign appropriate submittal due dates.
  • Follow up with subcontractors to ensure submittals are complete by the deadline.
  • Take meeting minutes and distribute them.
  • Work with the project manager to track the project schedule weekly or as needed.
  • Ensure drawing sets are kept current and subcontractors are notified of changes.
  • Assist in monitoring general contractors' work and safety.
  • Work with the project manager and superintendent to create, track, and complete the project punch list.
  • Compile as-built drawings.
  • Prepare purchase orders and create subcontracts.
  • Support the project manager and general superintendent in administrative functions on construction projects.
  • Gain exposure to the full life cycle of major construction projects, from estimating and bidding through punch list and project close-out.
