Escrow Loan Operations Associate
Commercial Escrow is part of Capital One’s Commercial Client Operations (CCO) organization. The team’s function is critical to the success of the Commercial Bank as the organization ensures accurate and timely execution of all transactions involving the payment and monitoring of real estate taxes.
The Associate role is responsible for the quality assurance review of the onboarding of tax account records in the Bank’s loan system to ensure accuracy and adherence to policy. The Associate is responsible for control report monitoring to ensure tax records are up to date to ensure accurate reporting. In addition, during peak volumes the Associate will assist in processing daily workflow to include onboardings, tax disbursements, and other functions as necessary. The Associate in the role must have strong written and verbal communication to support interaction with internal and external customers and partner teams throughout the loan life-cycle.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Adherence to regulatory and legal requirements associated with the escrow processes
Must have strong attention to detail and good organizational skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively on projects and day to day functions
Process wire creation and manual check requests.
Ability to review system (both Bank and Tax vendor) inputs for tax record creation/monitoring, validating adherence to loan closing documentation
Strong aptitude for leveraging new technology and tools to identify and improve processes and controls
Conduct necessary research for tax related inquiries. This includes contacting tax authorities to confirm Real Estate tax status.
Cross-train in Collateral Boarding QA process to provide assistance during high volume periods.
Will be expected to go into the office once a week to process checks
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification
At least 2 years of Financial Services or Banking Operations experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience
3+ years of Escrow, Real Estate Tax and Insurance experience
2+ years of quality assurance review experience of Commercial Loan transactions
2+ years of Advanced Commercial Banking Systems (ACBS)
2+ years of Salesforce experience
