- A bachelor's degree in a rehabilitation discipline, specifically Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech Language Pathology, is required.
- A current license or eligibility for licensure as required in the state of practice is required.
- At least 3 years of direct patient care experience is preferred.
- At least 1 year of management experience in a rehabilitation setting is preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of Medicare and third-party billing is required.
- The ability to make independent decisions and solve problems appropriately is required.
- The ability to interact positively with personnel, patients, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies or personnel, and the general public is required.
- The ability to effectively manage and motivate staff is required.
- Assist the Director of Rehab with the successful operation of assigned location or locations and the efficient delivery of rehabilitation services.
- Assist with managing a team of therapists and assistants, including company rehabilitation staff and contract labor.
- Provide direct patient care for up to 50% of the day or more depending on the location.
- Assist the Director of Rehab with monitoring clinical service standards, evidence-based care delivery, and regulatory compliance.
- Assist therapy staff in identifying and removing treatment barriers and provide clinical education to meet patient needs.
- Cover the Director of Rehab's duties during the Director's absence.
- A master's degree in a rehabilitation discipline is preferred.
