Requirements
- An RPN or higher designation with current registration with the College of Nurses is required.
- Current First Aid and CPR certifications are required.
- Three to five years of related nursing experience are required.
- Experience supervising staff is required.
- The candidate must be able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- The candidate must demonstrate the ability to participate and function in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, EMAR, MedEcare, and related software is required.
- WHMIS and CPR certification is required.
- The candidate must be committed to resident-centered care and customer or hospitality service.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Director of Wellness in creating and maintaining resident wellness goals.
- Maintain updated health information for residents.
- Conduct medication administration audits.
- Support the wellness team in the absence of the Director of Wellness.
- Coordinate with Ontario Health at Home, community services, and physicians, and facilitate in-house physician visits.
- Work with the Director of Wellness to maintain compliance.
- Support team members with care planning execution.
- Champion health and safety practices within the home.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
- Three to five years of experience in a retirement home setting is an asset.
- Working knowledge of the Retirement Homes Regulatory Authority is an asset.
- Superior communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
