Requirements
  • Advanced knowledge of craft cocktails and spirits.
  • Competence with Windows-based computers and Microsoft Office, plus familiarity with industry-standard software.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Some college education.
  • Two to four years of experience in a high-volume, high-quality bar and/or restaurant operation.
  • At least one year of experience as a bartender.
Responsibilities
  • Assist the Beverage Manager or Director with the curation, creation, and execution management of the restaurant’s cocktail and spirits program, with a concentration on the lounge area and team.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction and the quality and efficient delivery of food and beverage service.
  • Engage with guests and teammates on the floor to promote beverage-program awareness and sales, cultivate regular guests, monitor market trends, and maintain awareness of in-house VIPs.
  • Screen lounge and bar team applicants and provide approval or denial recommendations for restaurant bar positions in conjunction with the food and beverage management team.
  • Work with the scheduling manager to ensure beverage training is scheduled and completed for new hires.
  • Uphold property alcohol policies and track teammate alcohol-license compliance where applicable.
  • Coach employees on efficient collaboration, enforce dress guidelines, and support teammate morale.
  • Train the bar and lounge team on cocktails, spirits, beverage operations, service protocols, and service standards.
  • Assist with developing, implementing, and maintaining beverage training policies for onboarding and continuing education.
  • Ensure the bar and lounge team adheres to beverage operational systems and incorporate those systems into training.
  • Maintain beverage training, policy, system, product, and menu information in MISEbox.
  • Assist with alcoholic-beverage procurement and inventory management and conduct monthly inventories with the Beverage Manager or Director.
  • Maintain compliance with company and brand partnerships in coordination with the food and beverage operations team.
  • Develop and provide beverage-program content through media channels with the food and beverage management and marketing teams.
  • Concept, curate, plan, and execute specialty beverage and culinary events.
  • Participate in camera appearances and media interviews.
  • Curate, manage, and maintain cocktail and spirits lists on restaurant beverage menus.
  • Assist with selecting, inventorying, and maintaining beverage glassware, tools, and equipment.
  • Attend designated manager and bar meetings and maintain timely communications through the property network and email.
  • Maintain the beverage inventory system and contribute to MISEbox, the teammate training software.
  • Report on time and ready for scheduled shifts, maintain clean and orderly food and beverage operation areas, and complete assigned tasks.
  • Identify problem areas and seek solutions while adapting to changing circumstances.
