About Aleph
Aleph is redefining the world of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A). We operate in an established software category with a multi-billion TAM but no clear winner. We’re here to change that, and our early results are self-explanatory.
Aleph was founded by Albert Gozzi and Santiago Perez De Rosso, two technical founders with backgrounds from Stanford and MIT and experience working at top-tier companies such as Google, Microsoft, and Bain & Company. We’re backed by top VCs (Bain Capital Ventures, Khosla Ventures, YC, Picus Capital), and work with customers like Turo, Notion, Zapier, and others.
What we’ve built so far is the most seamless way to centralize all of a company’s financial data – think expenses from Quickbooks or Netsuite, pipeline forecasts from Salesforce – and bring it into the tools finance teams are already using. But the vision goes way beyond that. We’re building the source of truth for a business’ data, and ultimately the platform businesses use to make better decisions.
We’re way ahead of schedule due to our unique approach, with barely any churn and rapid growth with very low marketing spend to date.
We are hiring remotely across the Americas (Canada, LATAM, United States).
🔍 What we’re looking for
We are looking to expand our Business Development team. As one of the early members of this team, you will be pushing the limits of the BDR function, which plays a pivotal role in Aleph’s growth and success. Your primary task will be to create interest in Aleph and engage prospects so they start an evaluation of our software.
Specifically, you will be tasked with reaching out to the right contacts at the right companies through a multi-channel strategy, primarily based on cold calls and emails, and then convert those leads into qualified sales opportunities. You will be equipped with a solid process and the latest software tools, and will be mentored and developed by seasoned Account Executives.
👷 What you’ll be doing
Build lists of companies and contacts that fit the profile of potential buyers for Aleph, including executive-level decision-makers
Perform a large volume of outbound calls to them to assess their needs and schedule follow-up meetings
In parallel, craft personalized, targeted messages over email and other channels (e.g. LinkedIn, Twitter, Reddit) to pique their interest
Maintain a consistent and organized outreach schedule to ensure a steady flow of new leads
In addition to your main tasks, you will:
Continuously iterate and improve our outreach strategies and processes
Collaborate closely with our marketing and sales teams and have broad exposure to all our go-to-market motions
Establish and cultivate relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within prospect organizations
Provide feedback on the effectiveness of outreach methods and suggest improvements based on prospect responses and market dynamics
Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and evolving customer needs
Act as a liaison between prospects and the sales team, facilitating a smooth buyer journey all the way to closed-won
Have flexibility to explore new tools, new techniques and new strategies
📝 What you have
1 to 2 years of sales or business development experience
Strong communication skills over both phone and email
A love for picking up the phone
Diligence and strong attention to detail
Fondness for data and leveraging technology to be more efficient
Ownership mentality and excitement to take on responsibility
Excellence at building personal connections and fostering collaboration
Desire to put in the effort that takes to move up within a fast growing startup in a competitive market
While this is a remote-first opportunity, we’re focusing on candidates within the Americas to better align with our working hours as a team.
