  • A BA/BS degree in a related field and 10-12 years of relevant communications experience
  • Experience with crisis or issues management
  • Experience with developing and managing integrated communications campaigns
  • An ability to distill complex technical, legislative, regulatory, legal or other issues into compelling content
  • Experience working with coalitions and advocacy groups
  • Experience working with reporters and established media contacts
  • Strong strategic thinker with understanding of how larger business and public policy landscape impacts clients’ communications abilities and needs
  • Experience and ambition for successfully leading efforts to obtain new business
  • Demonstrated capacity for leadership, communication, adaptability, resourcefulness, teamwork and collegiality within a tight-knit team
Responsibilities
  • Serve as day-to-day client contact on diverse health team accounts
  • Develop, write and present persuasive strategic plans, messaging and collateral materials tailored to a variety of stakeholders
  • Account and project management, including workplans, setting and meeting deadlines, managing colleague contributors, and monitoring of account budgets and needs
  • Generate media outreach strategies and pitch stories on a regular basis
  • Display keen understanding of the health sector and policy environment
  • Demonstrate excellent client relations
  • Maintain awareness of emerging issues relevant to clients
  • React quickly and prioritize appropriately in response to urgent client requests or developments in the media
  • Contribute to new business proposals and pitches
  • Collaborate across teams to deliver services in collaboration with other FGS divisions
