The Revenue Engineering team at Pinecone is responsible for many of the internal data-driven platforms servicing critical business needs like usage based billing, inclusive of metering pipelines, vendor and marketplace integrations, discounting, invoicing, reconciliation, and the Dunning process.

As an Engineering Manager at Pinecone, you will drive the planning and execution for our revenue engineering roadmap. You’ll support a team of experienced engineers and help them do their best work in a critical area, and you’ll grow the team with world class talent.

Responsibilities: 

• Delivering improvements that make our billing system, metrics, and quotas systems more performant, resilient and accurate

• Planning with product and finance teams to ensure the roadmap is aligned with our business goals

• Grow a world class team of engineers and support them in doing the best work of their career

• Develop and improve processes that ensure consistent delivery against objectives and drive strong alignment across teams

• Evolve the organizational structure to meet long term objectives

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience leading teams of 5+ people

• Experience with data-focused systems, eg. usage based billing

• Familiarity with distributed systems

• Ability to recruit world-class talent, and make sure they have the conditions to do their best work

• Drive clarity to ship complex projects in high impact areas

• Develop a multi-year vision & strategy with incremental deliverables

• Establish high technical standards and processes

• Growth mindset, courage and curiosity to stretch beyond your previous experiences
