Requirements
  • Candidates should have obtained a PhD or an MD/PhD degree in the fields of molecular biology, biochemistry, bioinformatics, mouse genetics or a related field.
  • The candidate should have evidence of prior productive scientific work in the form of publications in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Employment will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies.
Responsibilities
  • Investigate the epigenetic pathways that regulate normal hematopoiesis and determine how regulatory networks are perturbed in leukemia; focus areas include 1) how 3D genome topology controls the hematopoietic transcription program and lineage differentiation in normal and malignant hematopoiesis, 2) delineating the role of long noncoding RNAs in regulating CTCF boundary function during hematopoiesis and leukemogenesis, 3) epigenetic and transcriptional regulation of hematopoietic stem cell function; utilize biochemical, proteomic, genomic, genome editing, and mouse modeling approaches.
  • Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals as evidenced by prior publications; provide evidence of productive scientific work.
  • Describe background and research interests in CV and cover letter and submit per application instructions; successful background checks required.
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior experience in gene regulation, hematopoiesis, and/or use of mouse models is preferred.
