Requirements
  • Working knowledge of electrical, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, plumbing, and preventative maintenance.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to pass appropriate security clearances as required by company policy.
  • Knowledge of the methods, practices, tools, equipment, and materials used in building and mechanical trades.
  • Knowledge of occupational hazards associated with power tools and equipment and necessary safety precautions.
  • Knowledge of repairs and maintenance of hotel furniture and fixtures.
  • Knowledge of safety and security measures and ability to report or correct hazardous conditions immediately.
  • Knowledge of guidelines for training checklists for areas to be maintained.
  • Ability to use and care for hand and power tools and equipment appropriate to the assignment.
  • Ability to perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and general maintenance on property grounds.
  • Ability to practice safety standards at all times.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with guests and co-workers.
  • Ability to exercise discretion to maintain guest privacy.
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of standing, lifting, bending, stretching, reaching, climbing ladders, crawling, kneeling, and working close to the ground.
  • Ability to push or pull 100 pounds unassisted and lift or carry 60 pounds unassisted.
  • Ability to stand for eight hours and work outdoors in heat or cold when required.
  • Ability to work any day or shift, including nights and weekends.
  • Ability to speak and read English.
Responsibilities
  • Assist the Chief Engineer or Lead Maintenance Technician in the functioning of the hotel.
  • Perform repairs and preventative maintenance to ensure hotel maintenance quality standards are achieved and maintained.
  • Provide efficient, courteous, and professional guest service while following hospitality standards, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Maintain the facility using consistent preventative maintenance guidelines.
  • Ensure all maintenance equipment is in working order.
  • Perform assigned preventative maintenance, repairs, and documentation.
  • Assist with houseman duties when assigned.
  • Perform other duties within the realm of physical capabilities as assigned.
