Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field, or a minimum of 10 years of healthcare management experience.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in healthcare revenue cycle management with a proven track record of process optimization.
  • Proven experience in medical billing and a deep understanding of health insurance payers and reimbursement structures.
  • Proficiency in medical office software and electronic medical record/patient management systems.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service orientation and ability to resolve high-priority inquiries diplomatically.
  • Ability to adapt and drive results in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Responsibilities
  • Monitor full-cycle revenue cycle management performance, analyzing days sales outstanding, denial rates, accounts receivable aging, and net collections to identify trends and execute corrective action plans.
  • Ensure timely claim follow-up and payment posting while executing strategies to minimize denials and accelerate cash flow.
  • Resolve complex billing discrepancies and escalated denials in coordination with insurance carriers, practice teams, and patients.
  • Oversee offshore and nearshore vendor performance, audit daily payment posting across all practices, and provide ongoing education on posting discrepancies.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for revenue cycle management workflows within the Sensei environment.
  • Train and mentor the in-house Sensei team on billing best practices, accounts receivable follow-up, documentation, and revenue integrity.
  • Lead cross-functional alignment and provide operational direction to ensure a smooth and timely rollout of the Sensei electronic medical record/patient management platform.
  • Execute targeted projects as directed by the Senior Director of Revenue Cycle Management and senior stakeholders tied to the Sensei initiative.
  • Work with clinical and practice teams to enforce proper documentation and coding practices that support clean claim submission.
  • Manage deliverables for the month-end close process, including detailed variance analysis.
  • Partner with the Finance and Accounting team on operating policies, accounts receivable collectability, bad debt, and refund management.
  • Review and approve patient and insurance refund requests.
  • Participate in monthly Surgeon accounts receivable review meetings alongside the Senior Director of Revenue Cycle Management and Chief Financial Officer.
  • Build and maintain positive payer relationships, negotiate payment resolution, and navigate complex payer requirements.
  • Perform additional duties, special projects, or legacy-system revenue cycle management oversight as assigned to drive overall departmental performance.
  • Manage time effectively to meet deadlines and maintain clear, proactive communication across internal and external stakeholders.
