Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing, engineering, and other departments by ensuring maximum equipment uptime and addressing technical challenges.
  • Complete preventive maintenance requirements and execute scheduled preventive maintenance work orders on manufacturing equipment by their due dates.
  • Provide feedback on preventive maintenance effectiveness and recommend improvements to instructions based on usage and experience.
  • Work with manufacturing to monitor and quickly resolve technical issues on manufacturing equipment.
  • Perform or assist with production operations to maintain workflow or prevent downtime in response to production requests.
  • Perform moderately complex testing, troubleshooting, debugging, installation, and repair of components, subassemblies, and systems to isolate root causes and suggest remedies.
  • Inspect, maintain, and clean tooling required for production changeovers.
  • Prepare and provide manufacturing with tooling required for changeovers according to the production schedule.
  • Execute repeatable setup procedures, maintain and clean semi-complex manufacturing equipment, and perform equipment alignment for each size or product.
  • Identify issues, diagnose their causes, and develop and implement solutions.
  • Ensure equipment and tooling are calibrated or inspected before use.
  • Operate machinery to produce components and products after receiving training.
  • Read and follow standard operating procedures, work instructions, and protocols, and contribute to their development and improvement.
  • Document changes to equipment used in product development, testing, or manufacturing in logbooks, work orders, data entries, and data sheets according to standard operating procedures.
  • Verify good manufacturing practices and safety standards and follow up on deficiencies.
  • Follow lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and organized work environment; practice safe work habits; complete safety and environmental hazard training; and interpret material safety data sheets.
  • Work with engineers and technical team members during process development using limited documentation and general support, and provide feedback and improvement recommendations based on findings.
  • Record test procedures, results, numerical and graphical data, and recommendations for product or test-method changes.
  • Update standard operating procedures and preventive-maintenance instructions related to the role.
  • Use metrology equipment, including indicators, comparators, microscopes, and micrometers.
  • Communicate improvement ideas, problems, and concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain company compliance training.
