Requirements
  • Experience in the automotive sales and tire industry is an asset.
  • Effective listening skills with the ability to identify customer needs and provide recommendations.
  • Working knowledge of passenger, light truck, and specialty tires and mechanical services.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to provide a satisfactory passenger or commercial driver's abstract.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • A team-oriented approach and pride in work.
Responsibilities
  • Research, initiate, and implement sales strategies to grow the commercial tire business.
  • Complete necessary follow-up with customers and continually update customer requirements, purchases, and buying levels.
  • Support customers by providing product pricing, recommending products, and arranging timely deliveries to meet their needs.
  • Ensure that all products are billed accurately to the customer and process all necessary information in the computer system.
  • Participate in local trade shows, fleet surveys, industry associations, and customer training.
  • Prepare input into Fountain Tire forecasts for light truck, medium truck, and OTR tires for the store.
  • Participate in required or assigned safety initiatives for customers and staff on the road, at sites, or in the field.
  • Complete assigned e-learning and safety courses and adhere to standards and policies described in learning modules.
  • Assist in inventory management through documentation processes and annual inventory counts.
