Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree or master's degree plus 20 years of relevant experience.
  • A Q clearance or the ability to obtain one is required.
  • Demonstrated advanced skills in planning and schedule compliance.
  • Demonstrated advanced skills in cost control, change management, and variance reporting.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, a high level of personal motivation, high standards, and the ability to work with the team and support organizations to address and resolve project issues and meet short deadlines.
  • Experience with Primavera P6.
  • Demonstrated advanced computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office, SAP, and/or WebEVM (CloudEVM).
  • Experience in Empower.

  • Job-related pre-placement medical examinations may be required.
  • The position may require the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy clearance; if designated as a Workplace Substance Abuse testing position, participation in an ongoing random drug testing program is required in addition to the pre-employment drug screen.
Responsibilities
  • Execute technical activities for assigned projects to ensure efficient and timely completion of work in accordance with government and plant directives.
  • Plan, coordinate, and direct activities to meet Project Management mission demands in accordance with assigned organizational authorities and responsibilities.
  • Provide technical aptitude, integration, and leadership for planning, scheduling, monitoring, configuration control, analysis, and reporting on multiple scopes of varying size, complexity, and risk.
  • Provide Project Managers with tools to confirm projects are on track, within budget, and compliant with requirements.
  • Participate in planning, development, monitoring, and control of project scope, cost, and schedule integration.
  • Use tools and systems to proactively manage, control, and report cost and schedule for concurrent projects.
  • Manage development of cost, schedule, and risk plans; collect performance data; track and analyze data; develop estimates to complete; and prepare reports.
  • Identify and track changes and potential changes to project scope, ensuring cost-change estimates and schedule impacts are visible to the client and Project Manager.
  • Manage integration of cost and schedule data and reporting with accounting and management information systems to support company performance and financial goals.
  • Interact with internal and external stakeholders to collect, analyze, and distribute business inputs and resulting outputs as required.
  • Take a leading role in driving the organization and company toward established visions and objectives.
  • Work with personnel at all organizational levels and with external stakeholders, including management, users, the Department of Energy, the National Nuclear Security Administration, and the National Nuclear Planning Office.
  • Identify and develop resources required to support project schedules, evaluate project and process problems systematically, determine appropriate solutions, and interface with internal and external customers.
Desired Qualifications
  • 25+ years of scheduling experience.
  • 15+ years of scheduling experience on DOE 413.3b projects, and a working knowledge and understanding of Department of Energy policies, procedures, and requirements in areas associated with project controls.
  • Advanced experience in Empower.
  • Cross-functional experience in Project/Control Account Management for Department of Energy projects, including experience with managing multiple scopes of work and multiple vendors.
