Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree is required in a related technical field, preferably material science and engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, chemistry, physics, etc. Advanced degree candidates are also welcome to apply
  • 4+ years of related experience in high-volume manufacturing is highly desired
  • Ability to manage multiple projects cross-departmentally
  • Skilled in project management and problem-solving
  • Ability to extract and analyze data using tool such as SQL,Python and statistical software such as JMP
  • Knowledge about production quality metrics is desired
  • Ability to perform critical tasks with a high level of accuracy per procedures
  • Excellent documentation, communication, and technical writing skills
Responsibilities
  • Serve as a core team member for assigned NPI projects as the liaison between R&D and Manufacturing, realizing products and processes for operations
  • Work closely with development engineers to proactively influence product and process design for better manufacturability
  • Development and execution of manufacturing plans for assigned projects, including material planning, selection of tools, qualification criteria, cost roadmap, scaleup planning, etc
  • Drive manufacturing improvement projects (yield, process optimization, etc.)
  • Assists with analyses and audits on processes to make recommendations on such items as quality, cost, efficiency, safety, etc
  • Prepare process documentation to support production release
  • Maintain Process Sheets and document changes as needed
  • Develop new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)'s and Process Sheets as necessary
  • Monitor processes on a daily basis. Assist with equipment and process validations, optimizations, and characterizations to reduce cost and increase capacity
  • Work with team members independently with a high degree of initiative to support and maintain good manufacturing processes and continuous improvements
  • Communicate production status and issues on time to team members and management
  • Train personnel on equipment, maintenance, and safety practices
  • Assist other teams in ensuring an adequate production environment whenever needed
  • Position requires successful candidate to be onsite
