- The Global Scheduling Team (“GST”) reports into IA Practices within the IA Chief Operating Office (COO).
- IA Practices also includes teams that support the wider IA: Learning, Development & Engagement, Resource & Budget Management, Audit & Risk Response, and Audit Committee Coordination.
- IA COO also encompasses: Business Controls and Data & Technology.
- At its core, GST is responsible for making sure all audit engagements are adequately staffed with the right people at the right time and providing data insights to IA personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
The Senior Resource Scheduling Manager will be responsible for scheduling management within the Internal Audit (IA) function. This team member, in coordination with our IA partners, will be responsible for making sure audit engagements are staffed with the right people at the right time. The role reports into the Global Scheduling Lead.
- This position has day-to-day oversight responsibilities for a small team of Resource Schedulers, who have primary scheduling responsibilities for designated groups within IA. Supports Resources Schedulers as they problem-solve and produce resource-optimization recommendations.
- Ensures adherence to principles / procedures / guidelines and escalates accordingly.
- Defines and drives scheduling insights.
- Executes and manages GST communications and engagement strategy, which includes: managing and continuing to evolve GST messaging across IA, driving key messages in a consistent manner across all stakeholder groups.
- For aligned IA team(s), communicates and partners regularly with key stakeholders (including Chief Auditors, Business Execution Managers, and members of IA Leadership Team (“IA LT”)) to ensure centralized scheduling practices and My Schedule data enables informed decision-making.
- Stays at the forefront of stakeholder needs, so can productively collaborate within IA GST and across other teams to ensure scheduling practices and My Schedule continues to improve with these in mind--simplification, automation, and empowerment.
- Responsible for driving strategic initiatives in relation to scheduling management. Acts as a change leader to continuously embed an informed scheduling culture.
Qualifications:
Required:
- 6+ years of experience in a related role or experience in business, human capital, and resource management; other related areas include Financial Planning & Analysis and Business Planning and Analytics.
- This individual must be an articulate and effective communicator, both orally and in writing, with an energetic, charismatic, & approachable style to be able to engage productively across all levels within IA.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across multiple stakeholders and organizations – pushes self and colleagues to higher levels of performance by actively listening and engaging in constructive dialogues.
- Strong project management skills; skilled in planning, organizing, prioritizing, and executing simultaneous projects and activities, producing high-quality deliverables and adhering to strict timetables.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with process-oriented execution, with a high attention to detail.
- Effective negotiation skills, a proactive approach in communicating issues and strength in sustaining independent views.
- Experience of working in communications and employee engagement role(s), preferably with a large and complex organization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Self-starter who can multitask in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
Optional:
- Prior internal audit experience is a plus.
- Prior people management preferred.
