Innovation Engineering Department
The global Innovation team curates efficient and agile, global strategies and multi-regional solutions to enable rapid, quality deployments through consistent and scalable products across Vantage’s companywide portfolio. We collaborate with a wide breadth of global peer functions as well as regional teams including Construction, Design, Sales, Operations, and management along the way. Vantage is looking for an ambitious, meticulous, hands-on Senior SCADA Specialist to support standardization and optimization of Industrial Automation design for Vantage facilities. Primarily focusing on SCADA Architecture utilizing Inductive Automation’s Ignition platform, establishing a foundational quality product that is scalable, repeatable, and forward-looking for new technologies and methodologies. With a customer service mindset, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams including regional Automation Systems, IT, Cybersecurity, and Engineering teams for enterprise-wide creation of standards and prototypical design to be deployed & owned by the regional teams.
Global Standards and Templates:
Author and maintain global automation standards and templates, including SCADA software specifications, SCADA architecture topologies, and detailed design specification templates, etc.
Develop and document new, prototypical SCADA applications and features that are modular, easily scalable, and deployable with minimal direction.
Create standardized prototype Automation requirements, guidelines, and templates to include SCADA Architecture, Network Topology, and IT/OT data mapping for new data centers based on prototype builds.
Optimize OT Data Transfer to support increased data center efficiency and sustainability, including but not limited to, application of machine learning.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with regional peers, solutions engineering, and external customer partners to ensure encapsulation and application of customer requirements, lessons learned, and improvements to developed standards and prototypes.
Collaborate with Design Engineering, Automation Systems, IT, Cybersecurity, and Construction teams during prototype development.
Work with multi-functional partners in support controls and automation-driven customer billing, reporting, and notifications.
Educate regional Automation Systems personnel onstandards and prototype programming, in support of Vantage’s market expansion and growth.
Quality Control and Documentation:
Contribute to QA/QC standardization and execution to enhance the quality of product turnover.
Develop standardized quality control processes to support the start-up and testing of complexcontrol systems.
Customer Service and Leadership:
Model a customer service mindset for the standardization and optimization ofdesign architecture, OFCI specifications, and best practices for scalability and repeatability.
Handle additional duties as assigned by Management.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
Advanced Knowledge of SCADA programming utilizing Ignition platform is required.
7-9 years of experience in Industrial Automation required.
Experience in implementing innovative projects related to Industry 4.0 and Digitalization
Experience with industrial communication protocols such as Modbus TCP/IP, OPC UA, EtherNet/IP, and MQTT required.
Mission Critical experience is required, Data Center experience preferred.
Knowledge of industrial SCADA & PLC systems manufactured by innovative, large-scale vendors is required.
Experience in maintaining documents, policies, and standards for ICS designs, equipment and networks desirable, but not required.
Experience with industrial communication protocols such as Modbus TCP/IP, OPC UA, EtherNet/IP, and MQTT preferred.
Knowledge of IIOT and Industry 4.0 practices and methodologies desirable, including Unified Namespace.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Travel required is expected to be up to 25% but may increase over time as the business evolves.

Additional Details
Salary Range: $130,000 - $145,000 + Bonus (this range is based on Colorado market data and may vary in other locations)
