  • Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, electrical or other related fields
  • A minimum of five (5) years in Avionics and/or Electronic Systems development and integration experience (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered)
  • Experience with DO-160, DO-178, and DO-254 processes.
  • Experience with ARP-4754 and ARP-4761 processes
  • Experience with requirements development, validation and verification (IBM DOORS or other requirements management tools)
  • Experience with managing supplier technical deliverables in an engineering environment
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proactive delivery of communication and follow up
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Must have the ability to independently prioritize and accomplish work within time constraints

Responsibilities
  • Provide architecture and integration of Voice and Data Communication Systems.
  • Define and validate the system-level and item-level requirements for Voice and Data Communication Systems.
  • Work with certification team to aid in establishing certification basis for Voice and Data Communication Systems.
  • Participate and review system safety analysis of Communication Systems to ensure aircraft safety.
  • Support development of compliance documentation such as system descriptions, system test procedures, system certification plan, support to issue papers development and responses.
  • Work with the flight test team to design tests that safely evaluate the system.

  • Other duties as assigned.
