This role is responsible for overseeing and managing all technical aspects related to the product quality systems on site. Responsible for implementing robust systems, policies and procedures to ensure compliance with HF international and local standards. This role manages a team of quality technical colleagues and auditors, whilst the role primarily focuses on the delivery of a quality product to our customers and focusing on quality systems from intake to delivery it also encompasses the management of the technical auditor function and ensuring that their workload is managed with guidance from the technical manager, it is also important that health & safety standards and compliance standards are maintained.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Managing a team of Colleagues across shifts to ensure that quality KPIs are met in full and on time, acting as the main point of contact for day to day quality activities and closely collaborating with the Operational teams.
- Ensure audit protocols are completed to the correct frequency and streamline processes for efficiency
- Coordinate and participate in investigations of food quality errors, incidents or complaints, identifying root causes and implementing corrective and preventive actions to prevent reoccurrence and drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure the introduction of new products and processes meet all quality and safety requirements. Drive relationships with suppliers and Farm team
- Lead and support supplier visits for problematic raw materials and establish good working relationships
- Maintain up to date and accurate records (including computerised/digital) on quality intake, quality errors and analyse this data to identify trends, problems and opportunities for improvement.
- implement management of quarantine areas and coordinating movement of stock according to decision
- Development, implementation and management of a quality plan, including but not limited to destructive testing, quality panels and error monitoring
Who You Are:
- Proven experience in food safety and quality assurance
- Ability to present data accurately and succinctly.
- Proficiency in using MS Office applications.
- Proven knowledge of SOP’s and standards.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and industry standards.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.

Working Schedule: 4 on 3 off, either Sunday - Wednesday or Wednesday - Saturday, 7pm - 7am (night shift)
