Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in Security and IT, with 5+ years in a leadership role.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of mentoring and developing talent.
  • Deep technical knowledge across Security, Risk Management, and IT.
  • Ability to communicate complex Security and IT issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of governance, compliance, and incident response.
  • Experience operating in a hyper-growth startup environment.

Responsibilities
  • Work with Security, GRC, and IT teams, providing guidance, mentorship, and career development opportunities.
  • Build and maintain trust with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders by ensuring transparency, reliability, and a proactive security approach.
  • Advocate for security awareness and drive cultural change within the organization.
  • Regularly report on the status of the organization's security posture and risks to Kandji’s executive leadership team and board via the ISMS and AIMS committee.
  • Develop a comprehensive framework for security, IT and compliance metrics that aligns with organizational goals and regulatory requirements and presents them to the ELT team of a predefined cadence.
  • Conduct calls with current and prospective Kandji customers to provide transparency and trust on Kandji’s security posture.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive information security strategy to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets across the Kandji platform for Kandji’s customers as well as internally for our internal employee base.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive incident response plan, including forensic investigations, reporting, and recovery efforts.
  • Monitor emerging threats and continuously improve the company’s defenses through proactive threat management.
  • Accountability for the incident response team in preparing for, responding to, and recovering from security breaches or threats.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant security frameworks, regulations, and standards such as SOC2, ISO 27001, ISO 42001, GDPR, and others.
  • Develop and maintain internal policies, standards, and procedures to ensure effective governance, privacy and assurance.
  • Work with the audit team during internal and external audits to provide documentation and ensure remediation of identified issues.
  • Direct implementation of risk mitigation strategies that reduce vulnerabilities and align with business priorities.
  • Conduct security assessments of vendors, contractors, and third-party service providers to ensure they adhere to security standards and policies.
  • Oversight of high level strategy for Kandji’s internal IT team. Ensuring a high level of support for Kandji’s employees throughout our globally diverse organization.
  • Participation in Kandji’s Customer Zero initiatives, working closely with internal product teams to ensure new product enhancements are always tested and adopted internally.
