Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a property maintenance position is required.
  • Advanced knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems, is required.
  • The ability to troubleshoot and identify electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, structural, and painting issues is required.
  • The employee must be medically able and willing to wear a NIOSH-approved tight-fitting respirator when required by regulations or company policy.
Responsibilities
  • Establish and follow a preventative maintenance schedule for systems and equipment, including HVAC, elevators, fire life safety equipment, fire sprinklers, generators, landscaping, kitchen equipment, backflow preventers, emergency systems, and asset preservation.
  • Use the Yardi work order system to manage maintenance and repair issues throughout the community.
  • Ensure community vehicles are properly maintained and kept in good working condition.
  • Maintain the required credentials to drive a community vehicle as needed.
  • Adhere to community on-call requirements for emergency repairs or maintenance issues.
Desired Qualifications
  • HVAC certification is preferred.
  • Experience in senior living property maintenance is preferred.
