Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting business applications.
- Experience in operational support and DevOps operations.
- Experience developing applications in one or more of .NET C#, .NET VB, PHP, or Java.
- Experience with load-balancing technologies and large-scale web server farms.
- A strong background in web application deployment, debugging, and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues in critical line-of-business systems.
- Hands-on experience configuring, testing, and optimizing production applications on Unix and Microsoft platforms.
- Proven experience implementing release management and continuous-delivery processes for multiple sites.
- Experience implementing build and configuration tools such as Hudson, Jenkins, Git, SVN, Ant, Node, Chef, and Puppet.
- Experience supporting IIS, Tomcat, JBoss, Apache, or Nginx.
- Experience with system-monitoring tools such as AppDynamics, Keynote, Splunk, Zabbix, or Nagios.
- Extensive scripting experience with Shell, Python, Perl, or PowerShell.
- Experience debugging with one or more of Visual Studio, WinDbg, or Netmon/Wireshark.
- Ability to work extended hours, nights, and weekends when required during critical outages or transitions.
- Hands-on experience creating, evaluating, and updating documentation.
- Ability to collaborate across geographically diverse teams.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and support business applications.
- Provide operational support and perform DevOps operations.
- Deploy, debug, troubleshoot, configure, test, and optimize production applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues in critical line-of-business systems.
- Implement release management and continuous-delivery processes for multiple sites.
- Implement build and configuration tooling.
- Support web and application servers and system-monitoring environments.
- Provide support for critical COTS applications, including Autonomy and Siebel.
