  • An associate degree is required.
  • Two years of experience are required.
  • Assessment Center experience is required.
  • Working knowledge of computers is required.
  • Excellent word processing and spreadsheet computing skills are required.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, telephone, confidentiality, and customer service skills are required.
  • Flexibility and the ability to multitask are required.
  • Willingness and patience to answer questions from fellow proctors and assist in launching and concluding exams are required.
  • The position requires the ability to hear, talk, see, read, and write on a constant basis.
  • The position requires constant sitting, standing, and walking within the office area, with infrequent lifting and bending.
  • The position requires the ability to interpret and understand complex assessment instructions, use problem-solving techniques, and reason to make decisions.
  • Current Ivy Tech Community College students may not be considered because of access to testing materials.
Responsibilities
  • Provide general college information about services.
  • Administer academic and certification exams through Testing Services.
  • Schedule exam appointments, including determining candidate eligibility and exam availability.
  • Input data when necessary.
  • Participate in training as necessary to stay current in appropriate technical areas.
  • Learn the software and hardware needed to administer various tests, document results, and support the Assessment Center according to established protocol.
  • Participate in mandatory vendor training.
  • Conduct activities with appreciation and respect for diversity of people, styles, and views, and promote the same as an integral part of the work.
  • Conduct activities within the established guidelines of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act.
Desired Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree is preferred.
