Requirements
  • A college or university degree in a related field is required.
  • Two to five years of work experience in a related job discipline is required.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and oversee the Graham School content strategy and ongoing editorial calendar to align blog content with the marketing and communications plan and learner needs.
  • Establish a content style guide for the Graham School in alignment with the University of Chicago brand.
  • Identify content opportunities with Graham School stakeholders and conduct interviews and research to develop content and creative briefs for freelancer and agency partners.
  • Produce articles, videos, infographics, and other multimedia content.
  • Work with freelance writers and the search engine optimization agency to develop learner-focused, brand-aligned, search-optimized blog content.
  • Conduct interviews with students and donors and draft articles highlighting their experiences.
  • Refresh aging blog content to maintain relevance for organic search rankings.
  • Perform content audits and use Google Analytics to assess content performance.
  • Conduct content gap analyses to determine additional content needs.
  • Ensure consistency across websites, social media channels, and other promotional assets.
  • Support the development and own the execution of the Graham School social media strategy, considering competitor programs, platform relevance, messaging, and audience identification.
  • Identify key social media platforms for the brand and tailor content for each platform.
  • Generate, edit, publish, and share text, image, and video content to build connections and awareness of Graham School programs and courses.
  • Oversee community management and engage with current and prospective students on social channels.
  • Implement strategies to encourage user-generated content and user participation.
  • Manage content calendars and publishing schedules to ensure timely delivery.
  • Attend virtual and in-person events to capture photographs and other information for promotion across social platforms.
  • Set key performance indicators for social campaigns and report regularly on effectiveness using engagement data.
  • Post content to Graham School WordPress websites, including blog posts, webinar recordings, and event registration pages.
  • Collaborate with agencies on specialized website and design requests.
  • Develop marketing communications, advertising, and publicity materials with moderate guidance.
  • Plan and coordinate the development and production of marketing and publicity materials and campaigns while ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.
  • Perform marketing functions including marketing communications and advertising, web blogs or digital marketing, market research, marketing infrastructure updates, and management of external sales agency relationships.
  • Perform other related work as needed.
Desired Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in content creation and social media management is preferred.
  • Strong writing and editing skills to create engaging content are preferred.
  • Proficiency in Google Analytics, WordPress, Hootsuite, Canva, and ActiveCampaign is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are preferred.
  • Being detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy is preferred.
