Requirements
  • 10+ years of professional backend software development experience, with a track record of leading technical direction across complex, distributed systems serving production scale.
  • Demonstrated experience leading platform-building efforts end-to-end, from design through production rollout.
  • Track record of driving tooling, process, or technical-standard adoption at team or org scale, with measurable productivity or quality outcomes.
  • Strong proficiency in a strictly typed language, here, primarily C# and .NET.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure on AWS (preferred) or Azure, including production use of Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Proven experience with both SQL databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL stores (MongoDB, Redis, DynamoDB, or Cosmos DB), schema design, query optimization, and scaling.
  • Solid grounding in distributed systems patterns, microservices, asynchronous messaging, caching, resiliency, idempotency, and REST/event-driven API design, and comfortable owning reliability, performance, and cost outcomes.
  • Hands-on experience building AI-based products or features, integrating LLMs, AI APIs, or AI coding assistants into real software, with genuine curiosity about applying AI to platform and infrastructure problems.
  • Demonstrated fluency with modern AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude Code, Codex CLI, Copilot, or equivalents).
  • Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design trade-offs; test-oriented approach to engineering.
  • Decisive leader and strong communicator, drives clarity, makes informed decisions, and produces crisp design docs, RFCs, and postmortems for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Builder's mindset and team player, curious, pragmatic, transparent, and invested in the growth of the engineers around you.
Responsibilities
  • Provide technical leadership and architectural direction for backend systems serving Payoneer scale, scalability, performance, security, reliability, and cost.
  • Lead by example in hands-on development, own critical code paths, tackle the hardest problems, and set the standard for code quality on the team.
  • Own technical design decisions for your domain, lead design reviews, author and review ADRs/RFCs, and design data models and high-performance access layers across SQL and NoSQL stores with explicit attention to schema evolution, query patterns, and scale.
  • Partner across Product, Architecture, Security, SRE, and DevOps to define APIs, contracts, and shared platform capabilities that other engineering teams depend on every day.
  • Own backend reliability and performance outcomes, define and uphold SLOs, lead incident response on critical paths, treat observability as a design property (golden signals, structured logging, tracing, actionable alerts), and drive measurable improvements in latency, error-budget burn, and infrastructure cost.
  • Champion a security-first and compliance-aware engineering posture, PCI DSS, PII handling, multi-tenant isolation, secrets management, and secure-by-default patterns are non-negotiable.
  • Set and uphold the organisation's standards for AI-assisted development, context engineering, prompt and instruction patterns, AI code review protocols, and safe-use boundaries (what can be AI-generated, what requires human design, what must never leave our boundary, and how AI-assisted changes are reviewed, attributed, and audited).
  • Own and evolve the internal AI tooling playbook, Cursor IDE, Claude Code, Codex CLI, and the next wave, including evaluation of emerging AI coding tools with adoption recommendations grounded in measured trade-offs across developer velocity, code quality, security posture, cost, and lock-in risk.
  • Measure the impact of AI-augmented engineering, establish baselines and track outcomes so adoption decisions are evidence-based, not anecdotal.
  • Raise the engineering bar across the team, contribute to hiring and calibration, and drive improvements in engineering processes, tooling, and quality standards (CI/CD, testing strategy, developer experience).

Payoneer Q2 revenue beats at $274M but GAAP EPS misses estimates

Payoneer reported Q2 CY2026 revenue of $274.3 million, beating analyst estimates of $271 million and marking 5.2% year-on-year growth. However, the cross-border payment platform posted a GAAP loss of $0.01 per share, significantly missing consensus estimates of $0.06. The company announced in June it has agreed to be acquired by Nuvei. Chief executive officer John Caplan said the transaction "validates the strength of the business our team has built" and would create "a financial infrastructure leader that powers global commerce at scale." Over the past five years, Payoneer has grown revenue at 22.6% compounded annually. Its recent two-year annualised revenue growth of 9.6% is below that longer-term trend. Following the results, Payoneer's stock remained flat at $7.11.

Robinhood stock and 2 Market Infrastructure picks for rising trading activity.

Robinhood stock and 2 Market Infrastructure picks for rising trading activity. July 25, 2026 Regulators are tightening market rules, central banks are lifting rates to tackle inflation, and geopolitical tensions are adding extra uncertainty to energy prices. For Financial Exchanges & Market Infrastructure Providers, that mix can reshape trading volumes, risk management needs, and demand for market data. Some stocks in this group may see fresh interest as investors look for ways to handle more complex market conditions, while others could face new pressures from regulation and funding costs. This article looks at 3 stocks from our screener that appear positively exposed to these news driven shifts. Overview: Robinhood Markets runs a mobile first financial services platform in the United States that lets retail investors trade stocks, ETFs, American depositary receipts and certain crypto assets, while also offering margin investing, retirement accounts, prediction and event contracts, and everyday money tools such as cards and spending accounts. Operations: Robinhood generates all of its US$4.6b in revenue from brokerage activities in the United States. Market Cap: US$91.5b Robinhood sits at the center of retail trading just as regulators tighten oversight, central banks raise rates and geopolitical tensions keep markets on edge, which can all feed into higher trading activity and a greater need for accessible platforms. Earnings growth over the last five years has been very strong, margins are currently high at around 41% and analysts see scope for further growth. However, the P/E multiple is well above both industry and peer averages, so expectations are already demanding. Combined with higher funding risk from relying on external capital instead of deposits and rising compliance and cybersecurity costs, Robinhood is a high potential, high scrutiny stock that warrants close attention to the details behind its premium valuation. Robinhood's rapid earnings growth and rich P/E suggest something big is already priced in, but the real question is whether that premium matches the story in the analyst forecasts for Robinhood Markets or hides a crucial twist. Overview: Coinbase Global runs one of the largest crypto trading platforms, giving consumers, institutions and developers a way to buy, sell, store and build around digital assets across the United States and overseas. Operations: Coinbase generates about US$6.3b in data processing revenue, with around US$5.5b from the United States and roughly US$1.1b from international markets. Market Cap: US$42.5b Coinbase Global sits at the intersection of rising regulatory scrutiny and growing demand for compliant crypto infrastructure, which is exactly where regulators, central banks and institutional investors are focusing attention. The company emphasizes risk management, transparency and cooperation with policymakers, and is pushing into areas like tokenized assets, stablecoin payments and its Base blockchain. These initiatives aim to build more recurring, service style revenue alongside trading. On the other hand, earnings have been volatile, trading volumes can fall when crypto activity cools, compliance and cybersecurity costs are material and the stock trades on a rich valuation with a high P/E relative to peers. For investors, the tension between that premium price tag and the story set out in management's own narrative and analyst expectations is where the real work starts. Coinbase Global is seeking to turn volatile crypto trading into steady, service-style revenue, but the real story lies in how the analyst forecasts for Coinbase Global stack up against that rich P/E and what they might be missing Overview: Payoneer Global runs a financial technology platform that gives small and medium sized businesses worldwide a multi currency account for cross border payables and receivables, plus services such as funds management, working capital and workforce payments. Operations: Payoneer generates about US$1.1b in data processing revenue, supported by a globally spread customer base across Greater China, Asia Pacific, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Latin America and North America. Market Cap: US$2.4b Payoneer Global is positioned for a backdrop of tighter regulation and higher rates, providing payment infrastructure that helps trading platforms and SMBs keep money moving across borders while earning interest income on customer balances. At the same time, it faces pressure from rising compliance costs, reliance on higher risk external funding and exposure to weaker economic activity in regions like Israel and China, along with a P/E above peer ranges and net margins that have moved from 11.3% to 6.8%. In addition, robust interest income, expanding B2B services, heavy share buybacks and the pending Nuvei acquisition at a premium cash price create a complex setup that may warrant a closer look at what might come next for Payoneer. Payoneer Global's rich P/E, shrinking net margin and heavy buybacks suggest that the headline story might be masking something more interesting in the analysis report for Payoneer Global as well as one underappreciated risk that could flip the script The three stocks in this article are just the starting point, with our full screener surfacing 39 more Financial Exchanges & Market Infrastructure Providers that carry equally compelling stories around regulation, trading technology and market data in key English speaking markets through the Financial Exchanges & Market Infrastructure Providers screener. Payoneer review: the ultimate guide to global payments and cross-border transfers.

Payoneer review: the ultimate guide to global payments and cross-border transfers. Struggling with high wire fees and slow international transfers? Discover how Payoneer simplifies cross-border payments, provides multi-currency accounts, and helps freelancers and businesses scale globally. The modern digital economy has completely erased geographical barriers. Today, a developer in Vietnam can write code for a startup in San Francisco, an e-commerce seller in London can source products from manufacturers in Shenzhen, and a freelancer in Buenos Aires can provide design assets to a marketing agency in Sydney. However, while talent and markets have gone global, traditional banking infrastructure has largely remained local and sluggish. For decades, international money transfers have been defined by extortionate currency exchange markups, hidden intermediary bank fees, and processing times that stretch across multiple business days. Payoneer was built to solve this exact structural failure. By establishing a localized global banking network in the cloud, Payoneer bridges the gap between international clients and local beneficiaries. In this review, AppsuMore examine how Payoneer's ecosystem operates, how it addresses the primary friction points of cross-border trade, and whether it is the right financial partner for your business or freelance career. The friction of traditional cross-border banking. If you have ever attempted to receive a wire transfer from a foreign client using a traditional brick-and-mortar bank, you are likely familiar with the frustration: * The Intermediary Fee Maze: A standard international wire often passes through two or three intermediary banks before reaching your account. Each bank takes a cut, meaning the amount that arrives is mysteriously lower than what your client sent. * Unfavorable Exchange Rates: Traditional banks routinely slap a 3% to 5% markup on mid-market exchange rates, quietly draining a significant percentage of your earnings. * Slow Settlement Times: International wire transfers can take anywhere from 3 to 7 business days to clear, creating cash flow bottlenecks for freelancers and growing businesses. How Payoneer streamlines global payments. Payoneer bypasses the traditional SWIFT wire network by operating its own closed-loop financial infrastructure. Instead of sending money across international borders every time a transaction occurs, Payoneer maintains local receiving accounts in major financial hubs (such as the US, EU, UK, Japan, Australia, and Singapore). 1. The Power of "Virtual Receiving Accounts" When you open a Payoneer account, you are issued local receiving accounts in major currencies (USD, EUR, GBP, AUD, CAD, JPY, etc.). * How it works for a freelancer: If you have a client in the United States, they can pay you via a local ACH transfer or US bank wire directly into your US Payoneer receiving account. To your client, it looks like paying a domestic contractor. To you, the funds land in your account quickly and without international wire fees. 2. Tailored Solutions for Freelancers and Marketplaces Payoneer has deep native integrations with the world's largest freelance marketplaces and remote work platforms, including Upwork, Fiverr, and Toptal. Instead of waiting days for platform payouts, you can route your earnings instantly into Payoneer, where you can then withdraw them to your local bank account in your local currency. 3. Business-to-Business (B2B) Billing Service For digital agencies, consultants, and productized service providers, Payoneer allows you to issue professional digital invoices directly to international clients. Clients can pay these invoices securely via credit card, local bank transfer, or direct debit, making the payment experience as frictionless for them as paying a local vendor. Security and compliance: can you trust Payoneer? When dealing with cross-border finance, security is paramount. Payoneer is a regulated financial services company that adheres to strict international compliance standards. * Regulatory Compliance: Payoneer is a Licensed Money Transmitter in the United States and is regulated under relevant electronic money regulations in the European Union and the UK. * Data Protection: The platform utilizes advanced encryption protocols, two-factor authentication (2FA), and rigorous fraud-monitoring algorithms to ensure that your funds and personal information remain secure against unauthorized access. Evaluating the cost structure. Transparency in pricing is one of Payoneer's primary selling points, though users must understand how the fees apply to their specific workflow: * Receiving Funds: Receiving funds from another Payoneer user is typically free. Receiving funds via local bank transfers (like US ACH) is often free or very low cost. * Withdrawing to Local Banks: When you transfer funds from your Payoneer balance to your local bank account, Payoneer applies a competitive currency conversion fee (which is generally much lower than traditional bank markups). * Card Fees: If you order and use the Payoneer physical or virtual Mastercard for business expenses, standard maintenance or ATM withdrawal fees may apply. Frequently asked questions (faqs). What is a Payoneer receiving account? A Payoneer receiving account is a virtual bank account issued in major global currencies (USD, EUR, GBP, etc.) in your name. It allows you to receive local payments from clients or marketplaces abroad as if you had a physical bank account in that country. How long do withdrawals take with Payoneer? Withdrawing funds from your Payoneer balance to your local bank account typically takes anywhere from a few hours to 2 business days, depending on your local banking infrastructure and the currency involved. Can I use Payoneer to pay my own international contractors or suppliers? Yes. Payoneer features a "Make a Payment" service that allows you to send funds directly from your Payoneer balance to another Payoneer user anywhere in the world for free, or to a global bank account for a low fee. Does Payoneer provide a debit card? Yes, eligible users can order a Payoneer Mastercard, which allows you to spend your multi-currency balance online, in stores, or at ATMs worldwide wherever Mastercard is accepted. Are there any sign-up bonuses available? Payoneer frequently runs referral and sign-up promotions for new users who hit specific receiving thresholds. Checking their official sign-up channels or partner links is the best way to see active promotional offers. Conclusion: take command of your cross-border finance. The global economy offers endless opportunities for remote workers, freelancers, and businesses, but those opportunities should not be choked out by antiquated, expensive banking systems. Payoneer replaces the friction of international wires with a streamlined, multi-currency ecosystem designed for the modern borderless professional. By minimizing conversion markups, accelerating transfer times, and providing secure local receiving accounts, Payoneer empowers you to treat the entire world as your local market. Ready to streamline your cross-border finances? Sign up for Payoneer today and take control of your global revenue.
