Requirements
  • A Master’s degree in Nursing is required for the baccalaureate program.
  • A Doctorate degree in Nursing is required for the master’s program.
  • Evidence of the required degree must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
  • Nurse faculty must have two years of clinical experience under state law.
  • A Registered Nurse license in the state of practice is required.
  • An Advanced Practice Nurse license is required for the master’s Family Nurse Practitioner track.
Responsibilities
  • Carry out faculty duties necessary for the ongoing implementation of a baccalaureate and master’s nursing program consistent with the mission of the college.
  • Perform activities to maintain a qualified student body, a qualified faculty, and a nursing curriculum that meets accreditation standards.
  • Demonstrate scholarship of teaching and leadership through shared-governance activities.
Desired Qualifications
  • Two years of teaching experience at the baccalaureate level is preferred.
  • For the master’s program, teaching experience at the master’s level and/or experiential expertise in the content area is preferred.
