Requirements
  • Master-level degree in Applied Behavior Analysis
  • Current Board-Certified Behavior Analyst Certification
  • Licensure in the state of Utah or able to obtain prior to hire
  • 1 year experience implementing ABA-based skills assessment and intervention procedures
  • Ability to demonstrate essential BCBA job duties
Responsibilities
  • Function in a supervisory capacity and provide oversight to all areas of programming including the training of registered behavior technicians (RBT).
  • Assist in the development, facilitation, and follow-up training in Applied Behavior Analysis skills assessment and intervention techniques.
  • Use a variety of evidence-based skill acquisition techniques to teach appropriate behavior and reduce maladaptive behaviors.
  • Keep current with the literature, new research findings, crisis management prevention and intervention techniques through continuing education and professional association meetings.
  • Responsible for graphing, analyzing data and making database decisions on client progress.
  • Provide model teaching and other direct instructional supports including, but not limited to, practicum supervision/teaching, class instruction and in-service instruction to other support professionals.
  • Provide ongoing support and training to RBTs and other individuals in support roles for families.
  • Develop behavior plans/treatment plans for all consumers with a focus on teaching and other antecedent strategies for reducing challenging behavior.
  • Facilitate and assist in the development and identification of resources and support information for clients and their families.
  • Sign off on behavior plan/treatment plan training for all field staff and provide field supervision when necessary.
  • Maintain all data, paperwork, and communication between personal care staff and families in accordance with HIPAA requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
