The salary range for this position is $175,954 - $230,369.
We are looking for a Sr. Manager of Quantum Computing Systems. As a Sr. Manager on the System Integration team in our new Seattle facility, you’ll be part of the cross-functional leadership team whose mission is to lead IonQ on its journey to build the world’s best quantum computers to solve the world’s most complex problems. In this role, you’ll lead the system commissioning and performance characterization of IonQ’s engineering prototypes of high-performance trapped-ion quantum computers.
This role involves direct supervision of a newly formed, small team of experimental physicists in our Seattle site as well as close collaboration with our core system integration team in College Park, MD.
The base pay component of the offer will vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Posted figures are subject to change as new market data becomes available. The total compensation package may include other elements dependent on the position and level. Beyond base pay, total compensation includes a variable bonus and equity component, as well as a range of benefit options which can be found on our site at ionq.co/jobs. Our HQ is located in College Park, Maryland which is only a 15-minute metro ride from Washington DC. We are actively building out our recently opened manufacturing and production facility in the Seattle, Washington area. Depending on the position, you may be required to be located near our offices in College Park, Seattle, or Toronto.
