Requirements

  • Strong record of publications, patents, or product demonstrations
  • 5+ years of direct personnel management or related project / task leadership
  • Experience with trapped ion quantum computing hardware
  • Systems engineering experience in transforming a complex physical system into a product based on detailed technical requirements
  • Demonstrated experience innovating in the field of quantum computing
Responsibilities
  • Manage and grow a small team of physicists working on quantum computing system integration
  • Collaborate with other subsystem leads in the integration of critical subsystems of trapped-ion quantum computers
  • Lead the system commissioning and performance characterization of engineering prototypes of high-performance trapped-ion quantum computers
  • Drive process and subsystem improvements to enhance performance of trapped-ion quantum computing systems
