Requirements
  • BA degree in BA, Accounting, Finance or related field is required
  • 4-6 years of payroll experience in the United States is required
  • In depth knowledge of federal, state and local employment requirements and regulations as well as multi-state payroll tax
  • Experience with ADP, Workday or similar payroll system is required
  • System implementation experience is preferred
  • 2+ years of previous payroll management or supervisory experience
  • Excellent communication skills and experience working cross-functionally
  • Proficiency using Excel/Google sheets creating complex formulas analyzing large data sets
  • Ability to multi-task and navigate through competing priorities in a high-paced environment
Responsibilities
  • Own end-to end payroll processing for the United States ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Oversee consultants administering payroll abroad
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization enhancing efficiency of the payroll process and maintain process documentation
  • Work cross functionally with People Ops, Finance and Legal departments implementing new policies, processes and procedures
  • Develop, implement and maintain internal controls and procedures around payroll process
  • Stay up to date with payroll laws and regulations ensuring the company's compliance
  • Support payroll systems implementation and integration working cross functionally with other teams
  • Manage year-end employment tax reporting including but not limited to W2, 1099, Form 940 and 941
  • Analyze payroll data and provide regular payroll related reporting and analysis to management
  • Be the main payroll point of contact for complex payroll issues ensuring excellent customer service
  • Support payroll integration of subsequent business acquisitions
  • Provide coaching, direction and leadership support to direct reports
  • Support 401k and worker's compensation audits
