Requirements
- 7+ years of professional experience with a track record of designing and/or managing cross-functional projects and reporting to executive-level stakeholders
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and a history of large-scale program management, coordination, and documentation
- Passion for the automotive industry and electric vehicles
- Ability to communicate with, influence, and manage stakeholders toward desired outcomes without direct reporting-line authority
- Ability to create and implement processes and tracking mechanisms that aid in project communication, budgeting, and milestone achievement
- Ability to synthesize multiple variables and points of view into a cohesive project plan
- A team mindset, supported by excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study
Responsibilities
- Establish a Project Management Office (PMO) within the Growth organization at Scout Motors, implementing the foundational project management services necessary to plan and manage the build of a full-fledged automotive sales and aftersales organization
- Create project management tools and reporting that effectively track and manage the dozens of workstreams requiring completion before start of production
- Develop and manage project scope, budgets, resourcing, and scheduling for each project, as well as escalation process for any workflows at risk of not meeting objective
- Lead cross-functional project coordination such that all stakeholders and contributors are informed and aligned; most frequently, involved functions will be vehicle engineering, model line, product marketing, IT, production, sales operations, logistics, and technical service
- Facilitate a project review process and governance structure that provides upward visibility of project status, surfaces key issues, secures necessary decisions, and ensures overall forward progress
- Source and implement technology that assists with project tracking and communication, to include dashboards, databases, approval/decision capture, and budget compliance
- Interface with vendors and suppliers that provide sales or aftersales support to Scout Motors, ensuring proper contracting, budgeting, timeline development, and delivery
- Participate in the expansion of the Growth organization by offering strategic insights into the sales and aftersales organizational structure necessary for project completion and, at a tactical level, by supporting the candidate interview and selection process
- Serve as a participant in the ongoing customer journey and digital experience road-mapping activities
- Support data gathering and benchmarking activities related to retail and business operations
- Support the VP of Growth in coordinating departmental activities such as regular staff meetings, functional workshops, and team outings
