Hackensack Meridian Health and Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey have reached a multi-year agreement, ensuring that patients with Horizon insurance plans will continue to have in-network access to Hackensack Meridian Health’s doctors, hospitals and facilities across the state. The agreement was reached two months ahead of the June 1 deadline.Previously at an impasse in their contract negotiations, when they were unable to agree on new terms, with reimbursement rates being a central point of contention. Hackensack Meridian Health had indicated plans to terminate Horizon’s in-network benefits effective June 1.“As New Jersey’s largest health network, Hackensack Meridian Health is committed each day to ensuring that our patients have access to high-quality, innovative care,” said Robert C.
