Requirements
  • Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated discretion, integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism in activities.

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must enroll or be enrolled in a Respiratory Therapy program within 3 months of employment.
  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Current CPR-BLS certification is required.
Responsibilities
  • Receive work assignments, instructions, and directions regarding specific tasks from respiratory therapy staff.
  • Clean, disinfect, and sterilize non-disposable equipment used in administration of respiratory therapy; prepare equipment for next use and report worn parts, loose connections, and items needing repair to the supervisor.
  • Assist respiratory therapy staff with setup of equipment, supplies, and medical gases as ordered.
  • Turn on equipment and observe gauges measuring pressure, rate of flow, and continuity to test equipment; report malfunctions immediately when equipment is in use on a patient, or mark equipment as needing service with the date and time and remove it from use.
  • Gather and deliver equipment and supplies to specified hospital locations.
  • Order, stock, and inventory respiratory care supplies; ensure floor supply rooms are stocked and clean; report inventory shortages and inability to order supplies to the charge therapist or supervisor.
  • Assist respiratory therapists with patient discharge and other assigned duties.
  • Participate in continuing education programs as applicable or assigned and attend department meetings.
  • Perform other duties as needed or assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • One year of experience in respiratory therapy is preferred.

Practice Greenhealth, an advocate for sustainability, honors HealthPartners and its 8 hospitals June 25, 2026 BLOOMINGTON, Minn. - HealthPartners has received the System for Change award from Practice Greenhealth, the country's leading organization dedication to environmental stewardship in health care, for the 12th consecutive year. The honor is one of 13 awards recognizing the comprehensive sustainability programs implemented throughout HealthPartners and across all eight of its hospitals. The awards highlight a wide range of sustainability efforts, including work to reduce HealthPartners' carbon footprint, implementing smarter purchasing decisions, advancing green building standards, and promoting sustainable food practices. Methodist Hospitals foundation appoints new executive director. Methodist Hospitals is pleased to announce the appointment of James R. (Jamie) Mack as Vice President, Chief Financial Officer. Mack brings nearly three decades of leadership in healthcare finance as well as a deep understanding of Methodist Hospitals and the community it serves. Mack joins Methodist from St. Anthony Hospital in Chicago, where he had served as Vice President of Finance since 2016. His extensive financial experience includes senior leadership positions at Sinai Health Systems in Chicago, Pinnacle Hospital in Crown Point and other health care organizations in Illinois and Northwest Indiana. He is an expert in accounting, reimbursement, charge structure, pricing models and pricing strategies in both for-profit and non-profit organizations as well as strategic and reputation development. He is a returning member of Methodist family, having served as Methodist Controller from 1987 to 2006. A native of Northwest Indiana, Jamie also has a deep understanding of The Region and of the communities that Methodist Hospitals serves.
