Requirements
  • Successfully completed a university degree in engineering, preferably mechanical, electromechanical, or mechatronics.
  • At least 5 years of experience in mechanical development and simulation, preferably with high-voltage components and battery electronics.
  • Experience simulating plastic and glass-filled plastic structures is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design and simulation tools such as Ansys, Star-CCM+, FESAFE, or similar tools for field reliability and design analysis.
  • Familiarity with high-volume manufacturing processes, including injection molding and stamping, and their effects on simulation accuracy.
  • Experience with environmental, reliability, and safety requirements for automotive and industrial products.
  • Strong communication skills in English and German.
Responsibilities
  • Take responsibility for electro-mechanical products from concept design to production release through advanced simulation and virtual validation.
  • Lead structural simulations focused on shock and vibration to ensure durability against vehicle road loads.
  • Provide technical leadership in analyzing and optimizing high-current and high-voltage devices, with emphasis on thermal management solutions.
  • Ensure product designs comply with automotive standards including ISO 16750, LV 124, and UN 38.3.
  • Design and build test setups to validate simulation concepts and correlate virtual models with physical laboratory results.
  • Lead development with electronics engineers to ensure assembly requirements are met, particularly for heat dissipation and printed circuit board stress.
  • Perform the calculations and simulations necessary to meet rigorous automotive specifications and predict product performance under extreme conditions.
